Een leuke blogpost over het dragen van een hakama!

“My first hakama was a $40 crap made of, probably, recycled bed sheets material. I bought it at a martial arts store in Warwick the day after I tested for my Shodan. I have been waiting five long years to test for my black belt. I, under no circumstances, was going to show up in class with just my black belt on and dogi pants. I was willing to do whatever it took to have one. Rip the cover of a futon, dyed it, and stitch it together in the shape of one like the old folks at Hombu Dojo? You bet I would have. But I was broke and didn’t own a futon. So I settled for the $40 Ninja World hakama.”
